मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity

रुद्राणां च तथा लोकं ब्रह्मलोक॑ च गच्छति । वह पुरुष भोगसम्पन्न

rudrāṇāṃ ca tathā lokaṃ brahmalokaṃ ca gacchati | sa puruṣaḥ bhogasaṃpannaḥ tejasvī agnike samāna-dīptimān sva-divya-śarīreṇa devatā iva prakāśamānaḥ divyabhāva-yuktaḥ vasūn marudgaṇān sādhyagaṇān aśvinīkumārān rudrān tathā brahmaṇaḥ lokaṃ api gacchati |

Bhīṣma sagt: Ein solcher Mann gelangt in die Welten der Rudras und sogar in die Welt Brahmās. Mit Genuss und Wohlstand ausgestattet, strahlend und lodernd wie Feuer, leuchtend mit einem göttlichen Leib wie ein Gott und erfüllt von himmlischer Gesinnung, erhält er Zutritt zu den Bereichen der Vasus, der Scharen der Maruts, der Sādhyas, der Aśvin-Zwillinge, der Rudras und auch zu Brahmās Welt. Die ethische Stoßrichtung ist: Rechtschaffenheit und heiliges Verdienst erhöhen das innere Leuchten und führen zu erhabenen Bestimmungen unter den göttlichen Ordnungen.

Bhishma teaches that sustained dharmic merit transforms a person into one endowed with spiritual splendor (tejas) and yields exalted posthumous attainments—access to higher divine realms such as Rudraloka and Brahmaloka.

In Bhishma’s instruction to Yudhiṣṭhira in the Anuśāsana Parva, he describes the फल (result) of a praised virtuous practice: the practitioner becomes radiant like fire and is said to reach the worlds of various divine classes—Vasus, Maruts, Sādhyas, Aśvins, Rudras—and even Brahmā’s realm.
