उपदेशदोषप्रसङ्गः (Upadeśa-doṣa-prasaṅgaḥ) — The Risk of Misapplied Counsel

वक्तव्यमिह पृष्टेन विनिश्ित्य विनिश्चयम्‌ | स चोपदेश: कर्तव्यो येन धर्ममवाप्रुयात्‌,यहाँ किसीके पूछनेपर बहुत सोच-विचारकर शास्त्रका जो सिद्धान्त हो वही बताना चाहिये तथा उपदेश वह करना चाहिये जिससे धर्मकी प्राप्ति हो

vaktavyam iha pṛṣṭena viniścitya viniścayam | sa copadeśaḥ kartavyo yena dharmam avāpnuyāt |

Bhīṣma sprach: Wird man gefragt, so soll man erst nach sorgfältiger Erwägung und fester Entscheidung sprechen und den feststehenden Lehrsatz der Śāstras darlegen. Und die erteilte Unterweisung soll so beschaffen sein, dass der Fragende dadurch das Dharma erlangt.
