ययातेर्वानप्रस्थतपःस्वर्गारोहणम् | Yayāti’s Vānaprastha Austerities and Ascent to Heaven
देवयान्युवाच आख्यास्याम्यहमादत्स्व वचन मे नराधिप । शुक्रो नामासुरगुरु: सुतां जानीहि तस्य माम्,देवयानी बोली--महाराज! मैं स्वयं परिचय देती हूँ, आप मेरी बात सुनें। असुरोंके जो सुप्रसिद्ध गुरु शुक्राचार्य हैं, मुझे उन्हींकी पुत्री जानिये
devayāny uvāca | ākhyāsyām aham ādatsva vacana me narādhipa | śukro nāmāsuraguruḥ sutāṃ jānīhi tasya mām ||
Devayānī sprach: „Ich will dir sagen, wer ich bin — nimm meine Worte an, o König. Wisse, dass ich die Tochter Śukras bin, des berühmten Lehrmeisters der Asuras.“
