ऋषेरज्ञलिरस: पौत्रं पुत्र साक्षाद् बृहस्पते: । नाम्ना कचमिति ख्यातं शिष्यं गृह्नातु मां भवान्,“भगवन्! मैं अंगिरा ऋषिका पौत्र तथा साक्षात् बृहस्पतिका पुत्र हूँ। मेरा नाम कच है। आप मुझे अपने शिष्यके रूपमें ग्रहण करें
ṛṣer añjalirasaḥ pautraṃ putraḥ sākṣād bṛhaspateḥ | nāmnā kacam iti khyātaṃ śiṣyaṃ gṛhṇātu māṃ bhavān ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Ich bin der Enkel des Ṛṣi Aṅgiras und der leibliche Sohn Bṛhaspatis. Man kennt mich unter dem Namen Kaca. O Ehrwürdiger, nimm mich als deinen Schüler an.“
