Śakuntalā-Janma-Nāmakaraṇa (Birth and Naming of Śakuntalā) | शकुन्तला-जन्म-नामकरणम्

यान्‌ कीर्तयित्वा मनुज: सर्वपापै: प्रमुच्यते । ब्रह्मणो हृदयं भित्त्वा नि:सृतो भगवान्‌ भूगु:,मनुष्य इन सबका कीर्तन करके सब पापोंसे मुक्त हो जाता है। भगवान्‌ भृगु ब्रह्माजीके हृदयका भेदन करके प्रकट हुए थे

yān kīrtayitvā manujaḥ sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate | brahmaṇo hṛdayaṁ bhittvā niḥsṛto bhagavān bhṛguḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Wer die Namen der soeben genannten preist und rezitiert, wird von allen Sünden befreit. Und vom seligen Weisen Bhṛgu heißt es, er sei erschienen, indem er Brahmās Herz spaltete und daraus hervorging.“
