आस्तीक उवाच कि निमित्तं मम पितुर्दत्ता त्वं मातुलेन मे । तन्ममाचदक्ष्व तत्त्वेन श्रुत्वा कर्तास्मि तत्‌ तथा,आस्तीकने पूछा--माँ! मामाजीने किस निमित्तको लेकर पिताजीके साथ तुम्हारा विवाह किया था? वह मुझे ठीक-ठीक बताओ। उसे सुनकर मैं उसकी सिद्धिके लिये प्रयत्न करूँगा

Translation

Āstīka sprach: „Mutter! Aus welchem Anlass hat mein Onkel dich meinem Vater zur Frau gegeben? Sage es mir wahrheitsgemäß und genau. Wenn ich es gehört habe, werde ich mich bemühen, dass es so in Erfüllung geht.“
