सौतिर्वाच शणु ब्रह्मन्‌ यथापृच्छन्मन्त्रिणो नृपतिस्तदा । यथा चाख्यातवन्तस्ते निधनं तत्‌ परीक्षित:

Translation

Sauti (Ugraśravas) sprach: „Höre, o Brahmane. Was der König damals seine Minister fragte und wie sie vom Tod Parīkṣits berichteten — all das will ich dir nun erzählen.“
