Jaratkāru’s Marital Compact and Departure (जरत्कारु–जरत्कारुणी संवादः)
विद्याबलं पन्नगेन्द्र पश्य मेउद्य वनस्पतौ । अहं संजीवयाम्येनं पश्यतस्ते भुजड्रम,“नागराज! इस वनस्पतिपर आज मेरी विद्याका बल देखो। भुजंगम! मैं तुम्हारे देखते- देखते इस वृक्षको जीवित कर देता हूँ
Kaśyapa uvāca: vidyābalaṃ pannagendra paśya me ’dya vanaspatौ | ahaṃ saṃjīvayāmy enaṃ paśyatas te bhujaṅgama ||
Kāśyapa sprach: „O Herr der Schlangen, sieh heute die Kraft meines heiligen Wissens an diesem Baum. O Schlange, während du zusiehst, werde ich diesen Baum wieder zum Leben erwecken.“
