न चाप्येवं त्वया भूय: क्षेप्तव्या ब्रह्म॒वादिन: । न चावमान्या दर्पात्‌ ते वाग्वज़्ा भूशकोपना:,“एक बात ध्यान रखना--आजसे फिर कभी तुम घमंडमें आकर ब्रह्मवादी महात्माओंका उपहास और अपमान न करना; क्योंकि उनके पास वाणीरूप अमोघ वच् है तथा वे तीक्ष्ण कोपवाले होते हैं!

na cāpy evaṁ tvayā bhūyaḥ kṣeptavyā brahmavādinaḥ | na cāvamānyā darpāt te vāg-vajrā bhṛśa-kopanāḥ ||

Śaunaka sprach: „Von heute an sollst du niemals wieder auf solche Weise die brahma-vādins verspotten. Kränke sie nicht aus Hochmut; denn ihre Rede ist wie ein Donnerkeil, unfehlbar in ihrer Wirkung, und sie sind zu grimmigem Zorn fähig. Nimm dies von heute an als deine Regel.“
