कश्यप उवाच पुत्र मा साहसं कार्षी्मा सद्यो लप्स्यसे व्यथाम्‌ | मा त्वां दहेयु: संक्रुद्धा वालखिल्या मरीचिपा:,कश्यपजी बोले--बेटा! कहीं दुःसाहसका काम न कर बैठना, नहीं तो तत्काल भारी दुःखमें पड़ जाओगे। सूर्यकी किरणोंका पान करनेवाले वालखिल्य महर्षि कुपित होकर तुम्हें भस्म न कर डालें

Transliteration

kaśyapa uvāca putra mā sāhasaṁ kārṣīḥ mā sadyo lapsyase vyathām | mā tvāṁ daheyuḥ saṁkruddhā vālakhilyā marīcipāḥ ||

Translation

Kaśyapa sprach: „Mein Sohn, handle nicht tollkühn; sonst wirst du sogleich in schweres Leid geraten. Reize die Vālakhilya-Weisen nicht—Trinker der Sonnenstrahlen—denn wenn sie erzürnen, können sie dich zu Asche verbrennen.“
