स॒ एवमुक्त उपाध्यायेनेष्टं देश जगाम । अथापर: शिष्यस्तस्यैवायोदस्य धौम्यस्योपमन्युर्नाम,उपाध्यायके इस प्रकार आशीर्वाद देनेपर आरुणि कृतकृत्य हो अपने अभीष्ट देशको चला गया। उन्हीं आयोदधौम्य उपाध्यायका उपमन्यु नामक दूसरा शिष्य था
sa evam ukta upādhyāyenaiṣṭaṃ deśaṃ jagāma | athāparaḥ śiṣyas tasyaivāyodasya dhaumyasyopamanyur nāma |
So angesprochen und von seinem Lehrer gesegnet, brach Āruṇi—seine Aufgabe erfüllt—zu dem Ort auf, den er begehrte. Dann wendet sich die Erzählung einem weiteren Schüler desselben Lehrmeisters, Ayoda-Dhaumya, zu: einem Schüler namens Upamanyu.
