Garuḍa Learns the Cause of Vinatā’s Bondage and the Nāgas Demand Amṛta (Ādi Parva, Adhyāya 23)

न भी: कार्या कथं चात्र पश्यध्वं सहिता मम । एवमुक्तास्तदा गत्वा गरुडं वाग्भिरस्तुवन्‌

Transliteration

na bhīḥ kāryā kathaṃ cātra paśyadhvaṃ sahitā mama | evamuktās tadā gatvā garuḍaṃ vāgbhir astuvan ||

Translation

Śaunaka sprach: „Fürchtet euch nicht. Wie könnte es hier irgendeinen Grund zur Furcht geben? Bleibt mit mir vereint und seht selbst.“ So angesprochen, gingen sie hin und priesen Garuḍa mit Worten des Lobes.
