अग्निभय-प्रसङ्गे मन्दपालस्य शोकः
Mandapāla’s Lament amid the Threat of Fire
ददानीत्येव वरुण: पावकं प्रत्यभाषत । तदद्भुतं महावीर्य यशः:कीर्तिविवर्धनम्
dadānīty eva varuṇaḥ pāvakaṃ pratyabhāṣata | tad adbhutaṃ mahāvīrya yaśaḥ-kīrti-vivardhanam ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Varuṇa antwortete Pāvaka: „Ich werde es geben.“ Diese Tat war wundersam—ein Ausweis großer Macht—und wurde zum Anlass, Ruhm und Ansehen zu mehren.
