The verse frames Draupadī’s conduct as ordered and dutiful within an extraordinary marital arrangement: she aligns her will with the collective authority of the five Pāṇḍavas, emphasizing discipline, harmony, and adherence to accepted dharma as understood in the epic’s narrative world.
The narrator describes Draupadī’s settled role after her marriage to the five Pāṇḍavas: she remains ‘vaśavartinī’—acting in accordance with the wishes and governance of all five heroic brothers.
