Gaṅgādvāra-tīrtha, Ulūpī-saṃvāda, and Arjuna’s Dharma-Deliberation (गङ्गाद्वार-तीर्थम्, उलूपी-संवादः)
युधिछिर उवाच परवन्तो वयं राजंस्त्वयि सर्वे सहानुगा: । यथा वक्ष्यसि नः प्रीत्या तत् करिष्यामहे वयम्,युधिष्ठिरने कहा--राजन्! हम सब लोग अपने सेवकोंसहित सदा आपके अधीन हैं। आप स्वयं प्रसन्नतापूर्वक हमसे जैसा कहेंगे, वही हम करेंगे
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | paravanto vayaṁ rājan tvayi sarve sahānugāḥ | yathā vakṣyasi naḥ prītyā tat kariṣyāmahe vayam |
Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „O König, wir alle—mitsamt unseren Gefolgsleuten—stehen unter deiner Autorität. Was immer du uns in Wohlwollen zu tun gebietest, das werden wir gewiss ausführen.“
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse foregrounds ethical obedience and disciplined loyalty: those under a ruler’s protection acknowledge his authority and commit to act according to his gracious instruction, reflecting ideals of order (rājadharma) and humility.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses a king respectfully, declaring that he and his group, along with their attendants, are under the king’s command and will do whatever the king asks in goodwill—signaling readiness to comply and cooperate.
