खाण्डवप्रस्थप्रवेशः तथा इन्द्रप्रस्थनिर्माणवर्णनम् | Entry into Khāṇḍavaprastha and Description of Indraprastha’s Founding
विदुरस्त्वथ तां भ्रुत्वा द्रौपदी पाण्डवैर्वृतान् । व्रीडितान् धार्तराष्ट्रांक्ष भग्नदर्पानुपागतान्,विदुरजीने जब यह सुना कि पाण्डवोंने द्रौपदीको प्राप्त किया है और धृतराष्ट्रके पुत्र अपना अभिमान चूर्ण हो जानेसे लज्जित होकर लौट आये हैं, तब वे मन-ही-मन बड़े प्रसन्न हुए। राजन! तब वे धृतराष्ट्रके पास जाकर विस्मयसूचक वाणीमें बोले--“महाराज! हमारा अहोभाग्य है, जो कौरववंशकी वृद्धि हो रही है
viduras tv atha tāṁ śrutvā draupadīṁ pāṇḍavair vṛtān | vrīḍitān dhārtarāṣṭrāṁś ca bhagnadarpān upāgatān ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Als Vidura hörte, dass Draupadī von den Pāṇḍavas gewonnen worden war und dass Dhṛtarāṣṭras Söhne beschämt zurückgekehrt waren, ihr Hochmut zerschlagen, empfand er innerlich Freude. Dann ging er zu König Dhṛtarāṣṭra und sagte in staunendem Ton: „O König, welch Glück für uns: Das Geschlecht der Kurus wird gefestigt und gestärkt.“
