The verse presents an idealized blessing for a married woman within gṛhastha-dharma: longevity, virtuous and heroic progeny, prosperity, and above all participation in sacred duty as a yajñapatnī together with steadfast marital fidelity (pativratā). It frames domestic life as ethically meaningful when aligned with ritual responsibility and dharma.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, a woman is being blessed with auspicious qualities—long life, heroic sons, prosperity, and the status of a wife who properly accompanies her husband in sacrificial rites—indicating a formal benediction connected to marriage and household life.
