देवसत्रे मृत्युनिरोधः, पूर्वेन्द्राणां मानुषावतरणम्, द्रौपदी-वरकथनम्

तांस्तथावादिन: सर्वान् प्रसमीक्ष्य क्षिती श्वरान् । अथान्यान् पुरुषांश्षापि कृत्वा तत् कर्म संयुगे
tāṁs tathāvādinaḥ sarvān prasmīkṣya kṣitīśvarān | athānyān puruṣāṁś cāpi kṛtvā tat karma saṁyuge ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Nachdem er all jene Könige so reden sah und, mitten im Zusammenprall der Schlacht, auch die übrigen Männer durch jene Tat abgefertigt hatte, hebt die Erzählung hervor, wie öffentliche Worte und Handlungen auf dem Schlachtfeld gemeinsam Ruf und moralisches Urteil in einem königlichen Konflikt formen.
