कर्ण उवाच
The verse highlights warrior-ethics: steadiness without fatigue or dejection (aviṣāda) and disciplined mastery over arms (śastra-astra) are praised as marks of true martial excellence.
Karna addresses a Brahmin-identified figure, commending his performance in a martial context—his strength in battle, his unshaken composure, and his command over weapons—expressing personal satisfaction at witnessing it.
