The verse juxtaposes outward excellence (flawless beauty) with inner strength (manasvinī), implying that worthiness in a royal-marital context is not merely physical charm but also character and resolve, while also situating personal qualities within the ethical-political realities of lineage and alliances.
Yudhiṣṭhira describes a noble woman—identified by her relation to Dhṛṣṭadyumna—and notes Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s defining role as an adversary of Droṇa, thereby praising her qualities while simultaneously marking the political-military identity of her family.
