अर्जुनस्य लक्ष्यवेधः
Arjuna’s Hitting of the Target at the Svayaṃvara
षडड्रश्चाखिलो वेद इमं गर्भस्थमेव ह । विवेश भृगुवंशस्य भूय: प्रियचिकीर्षया,भूगुकुलका पुनः प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे छहों अंगोंसहित सम्पूर्ण वेद इस बालकको गर्भमें ही प्राप्त हो गये थे
ṣaḍaṅgaś cākhilo veda imaṁ garbhastham eva ha | viveśa bhṛguvaṁśasya bhūyaḥ priyacikīrṣayā ||
Vasiṣṭha sprach: „Wahrlich, der ganze Veda samt seinen sechs Hilfswissenschaften ist in dieses Kind eingegangen, als es noch im Mutterleib war—abermals—aus dem Wunsch, dem Geschlecht der Bhṛgu Liebes zu erweisen.“
