Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse

नक्तं दिनमथैकत्र स्थिते तस्मिउजनाधिपे । अथाजगाम विप्रर्षिस्तदा द्वादशमे5हनि,वे रात-दिन एक ही जगह खड़े होकर तपस्यामें लगे रहे। तब बारहवें दिन महर्षि वसिष्ठका (वहाँ) शुभागमन हुआ

naktaṁ dinam athaikatra sthite tasmin ujanādhipe | athājagāma viprarṣis tadā dvādaśame 'hani ||

Jener Herr der Menschen blieb an einem Ort stehen und übte Askese bei Nacht und bei Tag. Da kam am zwölften Tage der brahmanische Seher Vasiṣṭha dorthin; sein Erscheinen galt als glückverheißend.
