और्वकृत-क्रोधाग्नि-निग्रहः

Aurva’s Containment of the Wrath-Fire

वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुक्त: स गन्धर्व: कुन्तीपुत्रं धनंजयम्‌ । विश्रुतां त्रिषु लोकेषु श्रावयामास वै कथाम्‌,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! उनके यों कहनेपर गन्धर्वने कुन्तीनन्दन धनंजयको वह कथा सुनानी प्रारम्भ की, जो तीनों लोकोंमें विख्यात है

vaiśampāyana uvāca evam uktaḥ sa gandharvaḥ kuntīputraṃ dhanañjayam | viśrutāṃ triṣu lokeṣu śrāvayāmāsa vai kathām ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: So angesprochen, begann jener Gandharva dem Dhanañjaya, dem Sohn Kuntīs, eine Erzählung vorzutragen, die in den drei Welten berühmt ist.
