Drupada’s Putrakāmeṣṭi: The Sacrificial Birth of Dhṛṣṭadyumna and Kṛṣṇā
बिभ्रती परमं रूपं रमयामास पाण्डवम् | रमयन्ती तथा भीमं तत्र तत्र मनोजवा,उसने रमणीय पर्वतशिखरोंपर, देवताओंके निवास-स्थानोंमें तथा जहाँ बहुत-से पशु- पक्षी मधुर शब्द करते रहते हैं, ऐसे सुरम्य प्रदेशोंमें सदा परम सुन्दर रूप धारण करके, सब प्रकारके आभूषणोंसे विभूषित हो मीठी-मीठी बातें करके पाण्डुनन्द्न भीमसेनको सुख पहुँचाया। इसी प्रकार पुष्पित वृक्षों और लताओंसे सुशोभित दुर्गम वनोंमें, कमल और उत्पल आदिसे अलंकृत रमणीय सरोवरोंमें, नदियोंके द्वीपोंमें तथा जहाँकी वालुका वैदूर्य- मणिके समान है, जिनके घाट, तटवर्ती वन तथा जल सभी सुन्दर एवं पवित्र हैं, उन पर्वतीय नदियोंमें, विकसित वृक्षों और लता-वल्लरियोंसे विभूषित विचित्र काननोंमें, हिमवान् पर्वतके कुंजों और भाँति-भाँतिकी गुफाओंमें, खिले हुए कमलसमूहसे युक्त निर्मल जलवाले सरोवरोंमें, मणियों और सुवर्णसे सम्पन्न समुद्र-तटवर्ती प्रदेशोंमें, छोटे-छोटे सुन्दर तालाबोंमें, बड़े-बड़े शाल-वृक्षोंके जंगलोंमें, पवित्र देववनोंमें, पर्वतीय शिखरोंपर, गुह्मकोंके निवासस्थानोंमें, सभी ऋतुओंके फलोंसे सम्पन्न तपस्वी मुनियोंके सुरम्य आश्रमोंमें तथा मानसरोवर एवं अन्य जलाशयोंमें घूम-फिरकर हिडिम्बाने परम सुन्दर रूप धारण करके पाण्डुनन्दन भीमसेनके साथ रमण किया। वह मनके समान वेगसे चलनेवाली थी, अतः उन-उन स्थानोंमें भीमसेनको आनन्द प्रदान करती हुई विचरती रहती थी

ramayantī tathā bhīmaṃ tatra tatra manojavā ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Eine Gestalt von höchster Schönheit tragend, erfreute sie den Pāṇḍava. Schnell wie der Geist, erquicklich machte sie Bhīma immer wieder an diesem und jenem Ort und schenkte ihm Vergnügen, während sie von Stelle zu Stelle zog.
