Ādi Parva, Adhyāya 146 — Brāhmaṇī’s counsel on grief, duty, and protection of children
तत्र ते सत्कृतास्तेन सुमहार्हपरिच्छदा: । उपास्यमाना: पुरुषैरूषु: पुरनिवासिभि:,उस भवनमें पुरोचनद्वारा उनका बड़ा सत्कार हुआ। वे अत्यन्त बहुमूल्य सामग्रियोंका उपयोग करते थे और बहुत-से नगरनिवासी श्रेष्ठ पुरुष उनकी सेवामें उपस्थित रहते थे। इस प्रकार वे (बड़े आनन्दसे) वहाँ रहने लगे
tatra te satkṛtās tena sumahārhaparicchadāḥ | upāsyamānāḥ puruṣair ūṣuḥ puranivāsibhiḥ ||
Dort wurden sie von ihm aufs Beste geehrt und mit überaus kostbaren Ausstattungen versehen. Von würdigen Männern unter den Stadtbewohnern bedient, begannen sie, dort in Behagen zu wohnen.
