एकचक्रानिवासे ब्राह्मणगृहदुःखश्रवणम् | Hearing the Brāhmaṇa Household’s Distress at Ekacakrā

सर्वा मातृस्तथा55पृच्छद्य कृत्वा चैव प्रदक्षिणम्‌ । सर्वाः प्रकृतयश्चैव प्रययुर्वारणावतम्‌,इसके बाद सब माताओंसे आज्ञा ले उनकी परिक्रमा करके तथा समस्त प्रजाओंसे भी विदा लेकर वे वारणावत नगरकी ओर प्रस्थित हुए

sarvā mātṝs tathā pṛcchya kṛtvā caiva pradakṣiṇam | sarvāḥ prakṛtayaś caiva prayayur vāraṇāvatam ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Nachdem sie zuvor von all ihren Müttern Zustimmung und Segen erbeten und sie ehrfürchtig in der Umwandlung (pradakṣiṇa) umrundet hatten, und nachdem sie sich ebenso vom ganzen Volk des Reiches verabschiedet hatten, brachen sie zur Stadt Vāraṇāvata auf.
