ततो विततथन्‍्वानं द्रोणस्तं कुरुनन्दनम्‌ । स मुहूर्तादुवाचेदं वचन भरतर्षभ,भरतश्रेष्ठ] तब धनुष तानकर खड़े हुए कुरुनन्दन युधिष्ठिरसे दो घड़ी बाद आचार्य द्रोणने इस प्रकार कहा--

tato vitatadhanvānaṃ droṇas taṃ kurunandanam | sa muhūrtād uvācedaṃ vacanaṃ bharatarṣabha ||

Da sah Droṇa den Kuruprinzen, wie er mit voll gespanntem Bogen dastand, und nach kurzem Innehalten sprach er zu ihm: „O Stier unter den Bhāratas!“
