- जौके आकारकी बनी हुई काठकी मोटी गुल्लीको “बीटा” कहते हैं। एकत्रिशदाधिकशततमो< ध्याय: द्रोणाचार्यद्वारा राजकुमारोंकी शिक्षा, एकलव्यकी गुरुभक्ति तथा आचार्यद्वारा शिष्योंकी परीक्षा वैशम्पायन उवाच ततः सम्पूजितो द्रोणो भीष्मेण द्विपदां वर: । विशश्राम महातेजा: पूजित: कुरुवेश्मनि,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! तदनन्तर मनुष्योंमें श्रेष्ठ महातेजस्वी द्रोणाचार्यने भीष्मजीके द्वारा पूजित हो कौरवोंके घरमें विश्राम किया। वहाँ उनका बड़ा सम्मान किया गया

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: tataḥ sampūjito droṇo bhīṣmeṇa dvipadāṁ varaḥ | viśaśrāma mahātejāḥ pūjitaḥ kuruveśmani ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Daraufhin ruhte Droṇa, von Bhīṣma — dem Vornehmsten unter den Menschen — vollauf geehrt, im Hause der Kurus aus. Dort wurde der strahlende Lehrer mit gebührender Ehrfurcht empfangen.
