युधिछिर उवाच कृपस्यानुमते ब्रह्मन् भिक्षामाप्तुहि शाश्वतीम्
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | kṛpasyānumate brahman bhikṣām āptum iha śāśvatīm |
Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „O Brahmane, mit Kṛpas Einwilligung wünsche ich hier Almosen zu erlangen, als dauerhafte Grundlage des Lebensunterhalts.“
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic restraint: even when seeking basic sustenance (bhikṣā), one should act with propriety and consent, showing humility and respect for established authority and social order.
Yudhiṣṭhira speaks, addressing a Brahmin, stating that with Kṛpa’s approval he intends to obtain alms as an enduring means of support—indicating a turn toward disciplined, modest living rather than entitlement.
