ते5चिरेणैव कालेन सर्वशस्त्रविशारदा: । बभूवु: कौरवा राजन् पाण्डवाश्वलामितौजस:,राजन्! अमिततेजस्वी पाण्डव तथा कौरव--सभी थोड़े ही समयमें सम्पूर्ण शस्त्र- विद्यामें परम प्रवीण हो गये
te 'cireṇaiva kālena sarvaśastraviśāradāḥ | babhūvuḥ kauravā rājan pāṇḍavāś cāmitaujasaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „In kurzer Zeit, o König, wurden die Kaurava in jeder Waffe und in jeder Kriegskunst vollkommen bewandert; und ebenso erlangten auch die Pāṇḍava — Männer von unermesslicher Kraft — die vollständige Meisterschaft.“
