भक्ष्यं भोज्यं च पेयं च चोष्यं लेहुमथापि च । उपपादितं नरैस्तत्र कुशलै: सूदकर्मणि,वहाँ रसोईके काममें कुशल कितने ही मनुष्योंने जुटकर खाने-पीनेके बहुत-से भक्ष्य, भोज्यर, पेयर, चोष्य* और लेह्यः पदार्थ तैयार किये

bhakṣyaṃ bhojyaṃ ca peyaṃ ca coṣyaṃ lehum athāpi ca | upapāditaṃ narais tatra kuśalaiḥ sūdakarmaṇi ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Dort schlossen sich viele Männer, kundig in Kochkunst und Küchendienst, zusammen und bereiteten eine Fülle von Speisen und Getränken—zum Essen, zum Kauen, zum Trinken, zum Saugen und feine Köstlichkeiten zum Lecken.
