सुतं ते5ग्रयं प्रदास्पामि सर्वामित्रविनाशनम् | वह ब्राह्मणों, गौओं तथा सुहृदोंके अभीष्ट मनोरथकी पूर्ति करनेवाला, शत्रुओंको शोक देनेवाला और समस्त बन्धु-बान्धवोंको आनन्दित करनेवाला होगा, मैं तुम्हें सम्पूर्ण शत्रुओंका विनाश करनेवाला सर्वश्रेष्ठ पुत्र प्रदान करूँगा

Śakra sprach: „Ich werde dir einen vortrefflichen Sohn gewähren—einen, der alle feindlichen Gegner vernichten wird. Er wird die gehegten Wünsche der Brāhmaṇas, der Kühe und der Wohlgesinnten erfüllen; den Feinden wird er Kummer bringen und allen Verwandten Freude.“
