Origin of Droṇa and Acquisition of Martial Science

एवमुक्ता तु सा देवी तथा चक्रे पतिव्रता । यथोक्तमेव तद्वाक्यं भद्रा पुत्रार्थिनी तदा,आकाशवाणीके यों कहनेपर पुत्रकी इच्छा रखनेवाली पतिव्रता भद्रादेवीने पतिकी पूर्वोक्त आज्ञाका अक्षरश: पालन किया

evamuktā tu sā devī tathā cakre pativratā | yathoktam eva tad vākyaṃ bhadrā putrārthinī tadā ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: So angesprochen, tat jene edle Frau—standhaft in der ehelichen Treue (pativratā)—genau, wie es gesagt worden war. Damals führte Bhadrā, die sich nach einem Sohn sehnte, den Befehl ihres Gatten Wort für Wort aus, wie er ausgesprochen worden war.
