सुराणां सम्मतो नित्यमसुराणां च भारत । उशना वेद यच्छास्त्रमयं तद्‌ वेद सर्वश:,भारत! देवता और असुर भी इसका सदा सम्मान करते हैं। शुक्राचार्य जिस (नीति) शास्त्रको जानते हैं, उसका यह भी पूर्णरूपसे जानकार है

surāṇāṁ sammato nityam asurāṇāṁ ca bhārata | uśanā veda yacchāstramayaṁ tad veda sarvaśaḥ ||

„O Bhārata, er steht stets in Achtung bei Göttern wie bei Asuras. Welche Abhandlung über Staatskunst und rechtes Verhalten Uśanā (Śukrācārya) auch kennt — diese ganze Wissenschaft kennt auch er vollständig, in all ihren Teilen.“
