स देवराजसदृशो धर्मज्ञ: सत्यवागृजु: । दानधर्मतपोयोगाच्छ़िया परमया युतः,वे देवराज इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी, धर्मज्ञ, सत्यवादी तथा सरल थे। दान, धर्म और तपस्या तीनोंके योगसे उनमें दिव्य कान्तिकी वृद्धि हो रही थी
sa devarājasadṛśo dharmajñaḥ satyavāg ṛjuḥ | dānadharmatapoyogāc chriyā paramayā yutaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Er war wie der König der Götter—kundig im Dharma, wahrhaftig im Wort und gerade im Wandel. Durch die vereinte Übung von Freigebigkeit, rechtschaffenem Pflichtvollzug und Askese war er mit höchstem Glanz begabt, und seine göttliche Ausstrahlung nahm beständig zu.
