मृदुस्त्वमन्नमस्मभ्यम् एतदस्तु हुतं तव इत्येवं कथितं सर्वं गुणप्राप्तिविशेषतः
mṛdustvamannamasmabhyam etadastu hutaṃ tava ityevaṃ kathitaṃ sarvaṃ guṇaprāptiviśeṣataḥ
„Du bist sanft; sei uns Speise — dies sei in Dich als Opfergabe dargebracht.“ So ist die ganze Sache dargelegt, mit besonderem Nachdruck auf dem eigentümlichen Erlangen von Verdienst; denn durch dieses geweihte Darbringen wird der paśu (die gebundene Seele) gereinigt und nähert sich dem Pati (dem Herrn).

By implying that the offering is directed “into you,” it points to Shiva as the all-receiving Pati—immanent in the sacrificial act—who transforms ritual into inner purification for the paśu (individual soul).
A homa-style offering supported by mantra-intention; in Shaiva framing, this becomes a Pashupata-aligned discipline where outer oblation corresponds to inner surrender and reduction of pāśa (bondage).
