It situates Linga Purana’s Shaiva teaching within a dharmic rishi-lineage: the continuity of sages supports the preservation of Shiva-oriented rites and right conduct that culminate in Linga-puja.
Implicitly, it points to Pati—the divine Lord who sustains cosmic order—within which progeny, lineage, and dharma unfold; Shiva-tattva is the stabilizing ground of srishti and dharma.
No specific puja-vidhi or Pāśupata-yoga technique is stated; the takeaway is the preservation of sacred transmission (paramparā) through which Shaiva observances and disciplines are taught.
