लिङ्गार्चनपूर्वकं स्नानाचमनविधिः

Snana–Achamana as Preparation for Linga-Archana

अवगाह्य पुनस्तस्मिन् जपेद्वै चाघमर्षणम् तत्तोये भानुसोमाग्निमण्डलं च स्मरेद्वशी

avagāhya punastasmin japedvai cāghamarṣaṇam tattoye bhānusomāgnimaṇḍalaṃ ca smaredvaśī

Nachdem er erneut in jenes Wasser eingetaucht ist, soll der disziplinierte Übende das Aghamarṣaṇa rezitieren, das sündentilgende Mantra. Und in eben diesem Wasser soll er die Kreise von Sonne, Mond und Feuer vergegenwärtigen und die Sinne zügeln. So wird der paśu durch Mantra und innere Schau aus der Unreinheit zur Reinheit Śivas geführt.
