FAQs

It frames Liṅga-prādurbhāva (the manifestation of the Liṅga) as a repeatedly taught, authoritative revelation by Śiva himself, establishing the Liṅga as the primary sign (liṅga) of Pati for devotion and worship.

Śiva appears as Pinākin, the supreme Pati who instructs sages directly—His Rudra-gaurava indicates transcendent lordship that can re-manifest as the Liṅga to guide pashus (souls) beyond pāśa (bondage).

The verse points to śravaṇa and smaraṇa of Liṅga-udbhava narratives as a purifying discipline supporting Liṅga-pūjā and Pāśupata orientation—turning attention from pāśa to Pati through sacred instruction.
