भर्तुर्मृततिथेरन्यतिथौ चितिमथारुहेत् / तांमृताहनि तु सम्प्राप्ते पृथक् पिण्डेन योजयेत्

Wenn die Ehefrau den Scheiterhaufen (citi) an einem anderen Tag als dem Todestithi ihres Gatten besteigt, dann soll sie, wenn sein Todestag eintritt, rituell mit ihm verbunden werden, indem man einen gesonderten piṇḍa darbringt.
