Sapindīkaraṇa: Timing, Eligibility, Gotra Rules, and Yearlong Śrāddha

आनन्त्यात्कुलधर्माणां पुंसाञ्चैवायुषः क्षयात् / अस्थिरत्वाच्छरीरस्य द्वादशाहः प्रशस्यते

Weil die Pflichten und Riten der Familie ohne Ende sind, weil die Lebensspanne des Menschen fortwährend schwindet, und weil der Körper von Natur aus unstet und vergänglich ist, wird die Beobachtung des Zwölf-Tage-Ritus (dvādaśāha) als besonders lobenswert gepriesen.
