FAQs

This verse highlights dharma through respectful reception of invited ṛṣis—showing that honoring spiritually advanced guests is a sacred duty that supports righteousness and auspiciousness.

Indirectly, it reinforces dharmic conduct—service to sages and adherence to righteous customs—which the Garuda Purana repeatedly treats as supportive causes for favorable post-death outcomes.

Keep commitments, invite and receive teachers/elders with respect, and practice mindful hospitality—treating spiritual learning and guidance as worthy of honor.
