एवं स्तुत्वा स रुद्रस्तु तूष्णीमास द्विजोत्तमः / शेषानन्तरजा देवी वारुणी वाक्यमब्रवीत्

evaṃ stutvā sa rudrastu tūṣṇīmāsa dvijottamaḥ / śeṣānantarajā devī vāruṇī vākyamabravīt

Nachdem Rudra so gepriesen hatte, schwieg er, o Bester der Zweimalgeborenen. Dann sprach die Göttin Vāruṇī—nach Śeṣa und Ananta geboren—diese Worte.
