FAQs

This verse frames dawn-remembrance (smarana) of Narayana as a core practice among the dharmas that please Hari, making devotion the foundation of daily conduct.

Vishnu addresses Garuda as “Khagadhipa” and begins instructing him on practices that delight Hari, indicating a teaching sequence on right conduct rooted in devotion.

Begin the day by consciously recalling Vishnu/Narayana (a brief prayer, name-remembrance, or mantra), using that devotional intention to guide ethical actions throughout the day.
