FAQs

This verse marks the authoritative transition where Bhagavān (Vishnu/Devakī-suta) begins responding to Garuḍa’s query, framing the ensuing teaching as direct divine instruction.

While it does not describe the soul’s journey directly, it sets the narrative context: Garuḍa asks and Vishnu answers—typically leading into explanations of dharma, karma, and post-death realities in the Garuda Purana.

Approach teachings on death rites, karma, and ethical living as a disciplined listener—like Garuḍa—seeking clarity from authentic scripture and applying it with reverence and seriousness.
