Ohne zuvor die fünf Piṇḍa-Gaben aufgenommen zu haben, soll man nicht im Wasser eines anderen (für andere bestimmten Wasser) baden. Man darf jedoch in Flüssen, in natürlichen Bächen und Quellen sowie in Teichen oder Seen baden, die für die Götter ausgehoben und gepflegt wurden.
