ॐ शन्नो देवीरभिष्टय आपो भवन्तु पीतये / शंयोरभिस्त्रवन्तु न इति पात्रे जलदानम् / ॐ यवो ऽसि यवयास्मद्वेषो यवयारातीरिति यवदानम् / गन्धद्वारां दुराधर्षां नित्यपुष्टां करीषिणीम् / ईश्वरीं सर्वभूतानां ता (त्वा) मिहोपह्वये श्रियमिति गन्धदानम् / ॐ या दिव्या आपः पयसा संबभूवुर्या अन्तरिक्षौत पार्थवीर्याः / हिरण्यवर्णा यज्ञियास्तान आपः शिवाः शं स्योना सुहवा भवन्तु / एषोर्ऽघो नम इति ब्राह्मणहस्ते जलं दत्त्वानेनैव पात्रेण पवित्रग्रहणं कृत्वा संस्त्रवं पवित्रं च ब्राह्मणपार्श्वे दद्यात् / ततः प्रथमपात्रे संस्त्रवजलं संस्थाप्य कुशोपरि ऊर्ध्वमुखं स्थापनं कुर्यत् / तदुपरि कुशदानम्

oṃ śanno devīrabhiṣṭaya āpo bhavantu pītaye / śaṃyorabhistravantu na iti pātre jaladānam / oṃ yavo 'si yavayāsmadveṣo yavayārātīriti yavadānam / gandhadvārāṃ durādharṣāṃ nityapuṣṭāṃ karīṣiṇīm / īśvarīṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ tā (tvā) mihopahvaye śriyamiti gandhadānam / oṃ yā divyā āpaḥ payasā saṃbabhūvuryā antarikṣauta pārthavīryāḥ / hiraṇyavarṇā yajñiyāstāna āpaḥ śivāḥ śaṃ syonā suhavā bhavantu / eṣor'gho nama iti brāhmaṇahaste jalaṃ dattvānenaiva pātreṇa pavitragrahaṇaṃ kṛtvā saṃstravaṃ pavitraṃ ca brāhmaṇapārśve dadyāt / tataḥ prathamapātre saṃstravajalaṃ saṃsthāpya kuśopari ūrdhvamukhaṃ sthāpanaṃ kuryat / tadupari kuśadānam

Indem man rezitiert: 'Mögen die göttlichen Gewässer uns Glück bringen', soll man Wasser opfern. Mit dem Mantra für die Gerste vertreibt man Hass. Dann opfert man der Göttin Śrī Duftstoffe. Schließlich gibt man das Arghya-Wasser in die Hand des Brahmanen, legt den Reiniger daneben und stellt das Gefäß mit der Öffnung nach oben auf das Kuśa-Gras.
