FAQs

This verse treats pride born of prosperity as a spiritual obstacle and prescribes a purificatory discipline to cultivate humility, supporting dharmic conduct.

By linking bodily anointing (lepa) with the removal of arrogance, the verse frames ritual action as a tool to train the mind and reduce ego-driven tendencies.

Use prosperity as a reason to practice humility—serve others, restrain vanity, and adopt regular self-discipline so growth does not become arrogance.
