Āśauca and Udaka-kriyā: Post-Cremation Conduct, Eligibility, and Purifiers

प्रवेशनादिकं कर्म प्रेतसंस्पर्शनादपि / ईक्षतां तत्क्षणाच्छुद्धिः परेषां स्नानसंयमात्

praveśanādikaṃ karma pretasaṃsparśanādapi / īkṣatāṃ tatkṣaṇācchuddhiḥ pareṣāṃ snānasaṃyamāt

Selbst Handlungen wie das Betreten (eines Ortes der Unreinheit) und dergleichen, ja selbst die Unreinheit durch Berührung eines preta (Geist des Verstorbenen), werden für jene, die es in eben diesem Augenblick nur erblicken, sogleich gereinigt; für andere wird Reinheit durch Bad und Selbstzucht erlangt.
