दर्शयामास तं देवी प्रसन्ना वरदास्मि ते । इत्युक्त: स्वमभिप्रायं शशंसावनतो नृप: ॥ ३ ॥
darśayām āsa taṁ devī prasannā varadāsmi te ity uktaḥ svam abhiprāyaṁ śaśaṁsāvanato nṛpaḥ
Daraufhin erschien die Göttin Gaṅgā, wohlgefällig gestimmt, und sprach: „Ich bin bereit, dir einen Segen zu gewähren.“ So von Mutter Gaṅgā angesprochen, neigte der König ehrfürchtig das Haupt und trug sein Anliegen vor.
The King’s desire was to deliver his forefathers, who had been burnt to ashes because of disrespecting Kapila Muni.
